Kyla Lorsenson is received as a member of Immanuel in the Rite of Confirmation today. We welcome her to God's family gathered here at Immanuel.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Ron Schmidt died this morning [Saturday, June 30th] at home, after a long battle with cancer, and recent hospice. The Lord has taken him from this valley of sorrows to Himself in heaven. In these days, encourage one another with the treasurers which Ron, and we, receive from our Lord Jesus Christ. Please pray for Bev, Ronnie, Heather, Troy, and the entire family. May the Lord comfort them, and us, with "the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting."
JULY 1ST UPDATE: The funeral service for Ron Schmidt will be here at Immanuel on Tuesday (July 3) at 2 pm, with the burial to follow at Eagle Cemetery. There will be a lunch served back here at the church, following the burial.
