VBS Director Needed

2/27/2019

it is hard to believe with the weather we have been having, but summer will be here before we know it--so it is time to seek a Vacation Bible School Director or Co-Directors.  If you are interested, or just have questions, please speak with a Board of Education member (Elizabeth Hofker, Jolene McLaughlin, Stacy Reimer or Audra Yelkin).

Praying the Lord's Prayer

2/24/2019

In the First Petition of the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus teaches us to pray, “Hallowed be Thy name.”  How is God’s name kept holy among us also? “God’s name is kept holy when the Word of God is taught in its truth and purity, and we, as the children of God, also lead holy lives according to it.”  (Small Catechism). Pray that God’s Word would be taught in truth and purity by your child’s Sunday School teacher, Catechesis teacher, and Pastor. Pray that you would teach your children well, by living a holy life according to God’s Word.

Why Candles?

2/21/2019

Have you ever wondered why the church uses candles, and why there are so many and different candles? The simple answer is that all candles are used to remind us that Jesus Christ is present with us as we are gathered in His name (St. Matthew 18:20).  “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’”  (St. John 8:12)

Church Library Updates
